A high-current, application-engineered AC-to-DC rectifier system delivering regulated DC at outputs up to 7500 A (existing site name).
Overview
A high-current, application-engineered AC-to-DC rectifier system delivering regulated DC at outputs up to 7500 A (existing site name). These are typically thyristor (SCR) phase-controlled rectifiers built as a matched transformer-rectifier set with an integral converter-grade/isolation transformer, multi-pulse bridge, interphase transformer and heavy DC busbar, sized for continuous high-amperage low-voltage process duty such as electroplating, anodizing, electrowinning/refining and chlor-alkali electrolysis. To handle the high currents and meet power-quality limits, ACE configures 6-pulse or 12-pulse (and higher) bridges with harmonic filtering, and offers air-cooled or water-cooled designs for the corrosive, high-dissipation environments these processes demand. Buyers choose ACE for a fully customised rating (voltage, current, cooling, control) rather than a fixed catalogue unit, with closed-loop constant-current/constant-voltage regulation for the electrochemical load.
